Heleen empathises with the client

‘We help clients find a rental property and make the whole process easy, no job is too difficult,’ says Heleen, who once even moved a central heating boiler for a client. ‘I like getting involved. That makes this job personal,’ explains Heleen, who sees the added value that kindness and personal attention brings to Broersma clients. ‘That’s also the reason clients come back to us, they know they’ll be treated right at Broersma.’ She always strives to make that thought a reality for the client.

Heleen studied Marketing and Communication at The New School in Amsterdam and is currently studying to become an estate agent. ‘There’s so much knowledge in this company, which we all share,’ she says. ‘We can quickly help a client switch from new build to existing properties, just by running from our office upstairs to an estate agent downstairs.’

Heleen lives within walking distance of Broersma, in the Oud-Zuid neighbourhood. ‘I love the beautiful old details in my home, but we still have a modern kitchen and bathroom.’ She calls her neighbourhood a village in the city, where the neighbours still really look out for each other.

Heleen enjoys being by the canals. ‘Amsterdam really feels like an open-air museum to me sometimes.’” She loves to visit Huize Frankendael in Watergraafsmeer, a stately old home perched next to a park that hosts a market on Sundays. ‘It’s a lovely place to have a picnic in the grass and enjoy a coffee and a slice of apple pie.’
