Office Manager
Jerry is accustomed to getting the best out of himself and others.
As Office Manager at Broersma, Jerry is responsible for optimising the office’s operations. In addition to managing both the front and back office and supporting the rest of the team where needed, he oversees the IT systems and helps guide the partners in streamlining the business strategy. “The goal is for everyone to work efficiently and feel good in their roles. That way, we maintain the quality of our team and the service we provide to our clients,” Jerry explains.
“Raising everything to a higher level so that our office continues to innovate and stand out is my daily motivation,” Jerry adds. “In the monthly meetings with the partners, which I chair, we outline the key strategic directions for this.”
His background in sports and as a personal trainer contribute to his commitment to quality. Jerry notes: “It’s enjoyable and interesting to identify areas for improvement, whether it’s our CRM, the security of our IT systems, or further implementing the anti-money laundering laws (Wwft).”
He started his career as a rental specialist in London. “The housing market in Amsterdam is tight,” Jerry says, “but in London, it’s even more extreme. That makes it especially rewarding to help people find the right place.”
He now lives in the Jordaan, and he’s enjoying it. “Amsterdam is large, but not too large, and the quality of life is great,” Jerry says. “With speciality shops, excellent restaurants, and entertainment around the corner. I love going to the cinema, and the Filmhallen in Amsterdam is a must. It’s a wonderful place to unwind in a great atmosphere, with the added bonus of delicious food.”
