Leonie combines a fresh perspective on real estate with a passion for people and architecture
Leonie recently started working as a personal assistant, bringing enthusiasm, analytical skills, and a keen eye for aesthetics. During her Real Estate Studies at Hanze University of Applied Sciences, she developed a fascination for the housing market, particularly its human aspect. “What I love most is that you truly connect with people. You help them bring direction and structure to something as significant as a home search.”
During her internship at Eefje Voogd in Amsterdam, she fell in love with the city. For her thesis, she is researching how the application process for new-build homes can be accelerated with AI—a nod to her love for order and efficiency. She has now been working in real estate for over a year and a half, with previous experience at a real estate agency in Groningen.
“At Broersma, I felt welcome from day one. The team is warm and easygoing—I truly feel valued here.” Leonie finds fulfillment in structuring the schedules of clients and colleagues. “It gives me energy when I can help people gain clarity and oversight.” She finds Amsterdam’s housing market dynamic and full of surprises.
Since July 2024, she has been living in De Pijp, her favorite neighborhood in Amsterdam. “Everything is within walking distance: charming boutiques, terraces, and great cafés.” Her go-to spot is Café De Sarphaat, where she enjoys an IPA. Tapas restaurant Tia Rosa—discovered through TikTok—is another favorite: “Even my Spanish in-laws approve!”
What makes Amsterdam special to her is the diversity of its neighborhoods. “It feels like lots of little villages within one city. Each area has its own character.” She has a love for homes with a distinct style. Her favorite house? A particular Hidden Object home that reminds her of the villas in the LA Hills: “It doesn’t fit in the neighborhood, and that’s exactly what makes it so unique.”
In her free time, Leonie enjoys pilates—especially the more challenging classes—and running along the Amstel. “The other day, I ran past a rowing competition—it gave me such a typically Amsterdam feeling.” She also loves spending time with friends, cooking, having drinks, and, of course, shopping. “You can’t stop me in Gerard Doustraat and the Nine Streets!”
