“It’s great to feel that, in my role at Broersma Wonen as an NVM real estate agent, all my talents and experiences come together. It’s as if everything I’ve done so far was a preparation to become a good agent,” says Marjolein.
She humorously refers to this as her fourth career. Previously, she worked in TV and advertising, held sales positions in wholesale companies, ran her own fashion and jewellery agency, and joined her parents’ display business as a sales and marketing manager. “A love for design and interiors was instilled in me from a young age,” says Marjolein, “and I now find this in the beautiful properties we have in our portfolio.”
After fashion, she sought more depth, moving away from trends and seasonal work. She wanted to be more present and help people with major, beautiful decisions in their lives. “If I can guide our clients through buying and selling a home with calmness and confidence, it brings me great satisfaction,” she explains.
In her view, Broersma Wonen is truly premium within Amsterdam real estate. “The dedication, presentations, and properties in our portfolio—all aspects of the work receive the utmost attention. You can see and feel it immediately when working with us,” says Marjolein.
Having lived in Amsterdam for 25 years, she knows the city well. Now residing in the picturesque town of Muiden for a few years, she feels privileged to still work in the city: “It’s the best of both worlds for me—culture and nature, hustle and tranquillity.”
She enjoys a classical concert at the Concertgebouw, cycling through the city, a cappuccino at At Seven, or a delicious Italian ice cream at Pisa on the Scheldestraat in the Rivierenbuurt.
