History
The Kalenderpanden are twelve warehouses, each named after a month. These warehouses, completed in 1840, are the first buildings in the Netherlands to use cast iron in a load-bearing structure.
Most warehouses on the Entrepotdok were already repurposed into residences and small business spaces in the 1980s. However, the Kalenderpanden, named after the months displayed on the facades, remained squatted until 2000.
Architectural firm Claus en Kaan designed the redevelopment of the Rijksmonument-protected warehouses into luxury apartments. They removed a strip of the complex directly behind the rear facade, creating a sheltered courtyard and transforming the old facade into a wind and sound barrier. New communal stairwells provide access to the apartments in the center.

Currently, there is a 9-month waiting period for this permit area. A second parking permit is not possible in this area.
